Nourish Acupuncture and Wellness Center
At Nourish Acupuncture and Wellness Center, our focus is to provide you with various Oriental Medicine healing modalities to enhance your health restoration and balance.
We use an integration of various holistic techniques including Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Massage therapy. These techniques stimulate body’s own healing abilities in order to restore a natural balance, prevent disease, alleviate tension and stress, improve circulation and immunity and alleviate pain.
How does Acupuncture work?
For thousands of years, Oriental Medicine has treated human beings as unique bioenergetic systems. “Qi” can be explained simply as the bioelectrical force that flows through all living things. According to ancient theories, Qi is the energy or force behind every physiological process in our bodies. This energy circulates throughout the body along specific pathways that are called meridians. These meridian pathways flow in patterns similar to our nervous, lymphatic and circulatory systems. Each meridian connects internally with internal organs. As long as this energy flows freely throughout the meridians, health is maintained, but once the flow of energy is blocked, the system is disrupted and pain and illness occur. Health is perceived as abundant and free flowing Qi energy. Acupuncture works to stimulate, unblock and regulate the flow of bioelectrical energy and circulation within the meridians.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has established that acupuncture can treat a wide range of conditions, including:
